Kamui Kids Easter Egg hunt and rice sowing

Welcome to the Kamui Kids Easter Egg Hunt and Natural Rice Seeding event! Get ready for a day filled with exciting activities and unforgettable memories.

First up, we'll be hand seeding rice seeds at Kome Sennin’s farm in Funagata. This is a unique opportunity to experience traditional Japanese farming and learn about the importance of rice in Japanese culture.

Afterward, we'll take a short walk to the nearby river where we'll enjoy an open fire and further activities. This is where the real fun begins! We'll have an egg hunt with a twist - children will be searching for egg-shaped rocks that we'll all get to color to look like Easter eggs. The adults will have a blast hiding the rocks, and the children will love searching for them. To make the day even more special, all children will receive an Easter present at the end of the day.

But the fun doesn't stop there! We'll be serving up some delicious natural rice onigiri, and we ask that each family bring something to cook over the open fire, like sausages, vegetables, or anything you'd like to bring. We'll also have plenty of time to relax by the river, dip our feet in the water, and enjoy each other's company.

Please make sure to wear proper clothing for the weather, as we'll be outdoors and updates will be provided as the event approaches. We'll be near the river, so be sure to bring plenty of changes of clothes in case your child decides to dip their feet in.
