Kamui Kids Projects
Starting in 2025: building the future we imagine.
At Kamui Kids, we’re not just running programs—we’re restoring ecosystems, rethinking infrastructure, and creating places where children, families, and communities can live in harmony with the land.
Beginning in 2025, we are launching a series of place-based projects focused on regenerative forest management, nature-connected living, and sustainable infrastructure. Many are currently in the planning or design phase—and we welcome those who want to get involved.
Currently Underway (2024–2025)
1. Kamui Kids House Upgrades
We’re actively improving the Kamui Kids House to make it more environmentally friendly, comfortable, and child-centered. This includes room restoration, air circulation upgrades, eco-friendly heating solutions, tool storage, and better family accommodations.
2. Woodland Learning & Activity Spaces
We’ve begun transforming areas of our managed woodlands into open-air classrooms and play areas—for crafting, fire-making, shelter-building, and deep connection with the forest. These spaces will grow alongside our programs.
Launching in 2025
These projects will roll out in phases, beginning in 2025:
-
Forest Learning & Play Base
-
Satoyama Regeneration Work (coppicing, planting, path building)
-
Treehouse and Rope Structures
-
Charcoal & Fire-Based Learning Tools
-
Water Catchment / Irrigation Infrastructure
-
Experimental Rice & Grain Field Cultivation
-
Toolmaking / Forest Workshop Spaces
Each of these will serve the larger goal of creating a sustainable, liberatory, and joyful land-based learning environment for children—and those who walk beside them.
