Kamui Kids House
Kamui Kids House
A home base for rest, reconnection, and gentle adventure.
The Kamui Kids House is our community hub and lodging space in Funagata, Yamagata. Nestled between the mountains and the Oguni River, it’s a place for families, friends, and fellow travelers to gather, slow down, and live close to the land.
The Kamui Kids House is not only a lodging facility, but also an important base that supports our broader mission: nurturing free learning for children, regenerating nature and community, and building a society where everyone feels they belong.
A large portion of the lodging fees is used directly to support Kamui Kids programming, helping reduce the cost of seasonal activities and and our alternative learning center programs.
Our ultimate goal is to make our learning center and weekend programs free for all children.
Your stay directly helps support the next generation’s learning and growth.
We use the house as a base for our weekday programs and seasonal learning adventures—but it also serves as a private lodging space for visiting families and supporters. Whether you're joining a program or simply looking for a quiet place to stay, you are welcome here.
