How to Join
We're thrilled that you're interested in joining our forest kindergarten program. We can't wait to welcome you and your child into our community of nature-loving learners.
Here's what you need to know to get started:
Book A Session
First, you can either schedule a session or join one of our trials. Our sessions run from 10:00-15:00, and are offered twice per month. The base rate for each session is 5500 yen, with discounts available for siblings and for purchasing multiple session tickets. We believe that our program offers excellent value for families who are seeking a unique and enriching learning experience for their child.
Membership Fee
After your first session, trial or otherwise, we ask that you pay a one-time membership fee of 5000 yen. This fee allows us to maintain and improve our program, and provides you with access to our exclusive community of forest kindergarten families.
Registration
To enroll your child, you'll need to register on our website. This is an important step, as it allows us to purchase insurance that covers all participants in the program. Registration is required for all levels of participation, so be sure to sign up before your first session.
Parents Line Group
We also highly recommend that you join our parents LINE group. This is where we share important updates, photos from our sessions, and connect with other families in our community. Instructions for joining the group will be provided after registration.
Preparing for the session
To prepare for your child's participation in our program, we'll provide you with detailed instructions on what to bring, what to wear, and other important details. We want to ensure that your child is comfortable and safe during their time with us, so please be sure to review these instructions carefully.
Parent Manual
In addition to the preparation instructions, we also provide a comprehensive parent manual. This manual covers everything from our program philosophy to our expectations for behavior and safety. We encourage all parents to read through this manual, as it will answer many of the questions you may have about our program.
Pre-session Phone Call/Consultation
To ensure a smooth transition for your child, we recommend scheduling a phone call with one of our facilitators. This will give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have, and will allow us to get to know your child and their needs better. We want your child to feel comfortable and welcome in our program, and we'll do everything we can to make that happen.
Should you wish to participate with your child
While we welcome parents to join their children during sessions, we believe that children get the most out of our program when they have time to explore and play without parental supervision. For this reason, we encourage parents to gradually acclimate their child to our program, and try to have them participate without their parent whenever possible. However, if your child needs more time to adjust, we can make accommodations to ensure their comfort and safety.
If you have a child under the age of 3 who is actively participating in our program, they can join with their parent. However, parents must supervise these children at all times to ensure their safety.
Transportation
Finally, if transportation is an issue, we can arrange for your child to be picked up and dropped off at a convenient location. Please note that transportation is generally only available for children who are participating without their parents, due to limited space in our vehicle.
